The (Social) Democratic Party

Hillary Clinton is a "centrist democrat", "a pragmatist on the economy." So says Alan Dershowitz, writing in The New Republic today.

Huh. Well, accepting the legitimacy of that description, then relentless advocacy of universal healthcare now qualifies as a middle-of-the-road phenomenon. How depressing.

"Universal" means very little. Hillary is not proposing a radical change to our system.

And indeed, Hillary is a centrist. (Is Alan Dershowitz right? THis must be a first)

Look at her affiliation with the DLC; her views on foreign policy, trade, media consolidation, withdrawign troops, the size of the military budget etc ...

Now, if Hillary were to actually represent the left in any meanignful way, than we would be in some serious shit as a country.
